This is technically correct, as it is just a contraction of the word ‘Scottish’, and will be seen on most scotch whisky labels. It is just an easier way to refer to whisky distilled, matured, and bottled in Scotland, according to the rules promoted by the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA).

After filming was completed, Lagavulin approached Offerman to promote the brand; leading the actor to film the ‘My Tales of Whisky’ Lagavulin commercials, a series of 50 adverts since 2014. You can see a clip from the episode at the bottom of this article. The Lagavulin Distillery celebrated 200 years of production in 2016.
