Liqueur d’Elixir 1605 To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Carthusians receiving the recipe for the elixir for long life, the monks launched Liqueur d’Elixir 1605 in 2005. Retailing for at least $200, though sometimes much more, each vintage Chartreuse Liqueur d’Elixir is highly allocated and can only be found at select retailers.

Vinovore (Los Angeles) Sommelier Coly Den Haan opened Vinovore in 2017 with the aim to highlight women winemakers operating in lesser-known regions of the world.

We dined in the heated back patio with Michael Lischak, the director of food and beverage at the Rose Tavern, Wiemer’s resident sommelier, Thera Clark, and co-owner and head winemaker, Fred Merwarth in addition to a few other staff members. The chef highlighted the best of late summer flavors and was paired again with the 2018 Cuvee.
