After a period of disrepair, the glamorous Ferragamo Group began renovations in 2019 and today, they run the slick hotel that serves as the complex’s beating heart which just happens to be a short walk from the city’s famed Duomo. In fact, it was once the oldest seminary in the world with its origins dating back to 1565.

She was a candidate for the program at Turning Tables , a New Orleans–based nonprofit founded in 2019 by Touré Folkes. That invitation—combined with Jeff Berry and Annene Kaye’s offer to work at their tiki bar, Latitude 29—enticed him to return to the Gulf Coast, where he’s lived since 2020. “I thought, wow, he’s rude.”

Credit: The Rum Lab Up north in Canada, Devine Distillery & Winery is the “Willy Wonka of spirits.” Critics seemed to admire his experimental efforts, and the heavily peated Abomination scored well in various publications; I was never quite as bullish, though I certainly thought some of the funkier rum releases were quite good.
