Clynelish was briefly closed in 2016 for a year-long upgrade which was completed in June 2017, equipping the distillery with an improved mash tun and washbacks which have increased the capacity to 4.8 million litres of alcohol. Brora officially reopened in May 2021, marking the culmination of years of meticulous restoration.
