Debuting in 2022, the Wood Finishing City Series includes expressions for New York, Sydney, Frankfurt, and Singapore. The whiskey was created in collaboration with Douglas McMaster – owner of the restaurant Silo London – and cocktail bartender, Ryan Chetiyawardana (A.K.A Mr Lyan).

Drinkhacker has taken a tour previously, of sorts, having reviewed their core lineup of whiskey releases in 2022. Other rumored origins appear as well, such as one bartender named Mr. Black having created this cocktail at a bar just around the corner at Houston and Broadway. I’ll be sticking with the 2:1:2 version of the story.)

In 2022, on the heels of the Russian-Ukrainian War, a F**k Putin and His Stupid F **g War bottled cocktail would, believe it or not, go viral as well. It didn’t quite work for me as a neat sipper and I was unable to recreate any cocktail magic at home. I’m a decent bartender, but no Mr. Lyan.
