Kentucky’s innovative craft distillery J. Mattingly 1845 announced Tuesday that founder Jeff Mattingly will sell his equity ownership to existing investment partners Gold Corn & Co. The hard seltzer category has blossomed 10-fold over the past decade. It all started in 2013 with the launch of SpikedSeltzer, which eventually became Bon & Viv before its discontinuation in 2023.
