When Aviation American Gin first hit shelves in 2006, it was something of a novel spirit. Unlike the juniper-forward London dry gins that had long dominated the market, Aviation brought other botanicals to the forefront, with its prominent citrus, spice, and floral notes.

Located in Brooklyn New York, Fort Hamilton Distillery is named after the nearby Fort Hamilton Army Base and began barreling whiskey in 2016. B+ / $55 Fort Hamilton New World Dry Gin Fort Hamiltons gin bears little relation to its whiskeys. It also does quite nicely mixed simply with some seltzer and ice.
