The barrels used for this bottled in bond decanter series release were distilled in September 1999 and emptied in March 2013 making the age of the bourbon 13 years-old. For this new expression, the BCS blending team created a multi-mash bill blend of Indiana (7.5, 8 & 10-year), Kentucky, (9-year) and Tennessee (8 & 15-year) bourbon whiskeys.

Originally released in 2013, The Balvenie Single Barrel 12 Year was removed from the brand’s range in 2022 due to insufficient stocks. Single barrels are selected by Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie with no more than 300 individually numbered bottles for each single barrel. Each barrel is bottled at 47.8% ABV without chill-filtration.
