This unique spirit has been aged 2 years in an American White Oak Barrel, then matured for another 2 and a half years in a freshly harvested Apple Brandy barrel. The apple brandy cask rounds out the edges of the bourbon, transforming it in a lovely dessert-like spirit akin to an after dinner digestif.

1 In addition to mezcal and rye, Cynar pairs exceptionally well with apple brandy , another underrated bottle that should be in every home bar. I don’t recommend downing shots , but Cynar is underrated as a solo sipper, and it makes for a truly satisfying nightcap or post-meal digestif. Yes, you can drink Cynar straight.
