The County Cork facility, celebrating its 200th anniversary this year , produces many of Ireland’s most renowned whiskey brands including Jameson , Redbreast , Midleton Very Rare, Powers, the Spot Whiskeys, Method and Madness, and Knappogue Castle.

I enrolled in a local bartending school with job placement and landed an event bartending gig, then worked up to the clubhouse bar. It was a great entry to the industry: fast-paced, covered the basics of drink building, with some really Old School bartenders to glean from.

Diageo-owned brand Baileys has introduced two new dairy-free liqueurs to its permanent range, marking the cream liqueur giant’s latest move into the growing plant-based spirits market.
